Where, When, How much?

LOCATION: We're just in Coogee, in a big, bright, clean church hall.

There is easy street parking. And pram access.

Classes are held in the St. Nicholas' church hall, next to St. Nicholas' Anglican church, Crn Brook St and Carr St, Coogee.

COSTS: For Term 2 2023 music classes with Lady Bug Musik is just $150 for a single student and just $215 for a family with both children over 1yo attending the same class.

It is a donation, which we use to buy new and exciting instrument, equipment and apparatus we use, for the use of the hall, and to run our children’s programs. It is not tuition or a per class payment. The payment is so you have a spot in the class time.  (*Please note: Rachel is not paid to run these classes; she gets no outside funding, nor any grants. She volunteers all her time, expertise, creativity and voice to give back to the community. The donations given for class placements go straight back into your child's learning.)

TERM TIMES: We run loosely according to school terms. We try to have no more than 10-12 families per class on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This means that each child gets the proper teaching attention they need. You can join anytime during the term, and the sooner you join, the sooner your precious child's musical journey can start. *This is also in accordance with the COVID-19 Guidelines for social distancing as specified by the Australian Government as of July 2020* and updated in our COVID-safe plan January 2023.

FREE TRIAL CLASS: No free trial classes are allowed at present due to COVID-19.

(Normally, you are more than welcome to book in for a FREE trial lesson, where we have room in classes, to see what our music classes are like and the activities that we do. However, as classes are filling up, if another family pays their donation for the spot they will have it.)

COVID-19 SAFE PRACTICES: At Lady Bug Musik we take seriously our responsibility to keep all the families of Lady Bug Musik a safe from this virus. We have taken many steps to make our classes and location as safe/clean/sanitised as possible. This includes changes such as: Extended change overs between classes to forgo departing bottle necks; four hands-free sanitising stations; each family with their own box of apparatus and instruments to use each lesson; placement markers on the singing mats for social distancing; after each lesson we have purposely extended our time between classes to allow for as much time as possible to sanitise and reset for the next class; all instrument boxes are sanitised and cleaned between each class and much more. We have also adapted our "end of lesson" hand stamp from Rachel tradition, and each instrument box has a special sticker for the end of the lesson. We've tried to think about every aspect of our lessons to create the best ones, that are just as educational and fun, while we wait for our 'new normal' to end.
