The Great Big Musical Toy Box

Music Time will have lots of laughs and fun as we move from dancing bears, Jack-in-the-boxes, to monkeys to elephants and bunnies and balls and balloons. Using a knowledge base of everyday play things, we focus on fast and slow tempos. We will delight in Bunnies and Elephants – where we think about smooth and bumpy music. This is called Legato and Staccato. We interchange the word: Bumpy with Staccato, and Smooth with Legato so that the children will understand musical language.

With our focus on these every day play things, we utilise specific characteristics of them in order to teach the children musical concepts. These concepts then meshed together help develop a child's musicality, and gives them a greater music appreciation in life.
